Our mission is to provide care-free property management solutions to landlords, & boutique style short term stays for traveling professionals working remotely for their businesses (traveling with or without their families).
- Sunroom was founded by a team of property developers who understand the challenges of unending property management - In tandem with traveling professionals who know the struggle of finding the perfect place to live and work remotely.
- We pair landlords with responsible short term tenants, taking care of all tenant needs and nearly all property management concerns. Common renters include travel nurses, sales reps, corporate executives, traveling creative professionals, graduate students, professors on sabbatical, travel photographers, social media influencers, and bloggers.
- We provide these remote workers with clean, safe, and beautiful accommodations to ensure a comfortable and productive stay. To ensure we give each property the attention it deserves, we limit our portfolio to only 10 residences at a time, between Los Angeles and Chicago. - Welcome to The DuneGate, a newly built beach house on the Michigan City shores, just a short private walk from the water's edge. With a spectacular view of the lake and dunes from the 2nd and 3rd floor balconies and living area, you can hear the waves crashing on the beach below. This home is ideal for working professionals traveling with their family; Sleeping up to 12 guests, the house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a den.
- The ground level features an open family room for games and TV, Bedroom 1 with a Queen-size bed, Bedroom 2 with two Twins that can be converted into a King upon request, and a standalone large bathroom with a full bath. The second level is a continuous open space with a beautiful wooden beam, a fully equipped modern kitchen with dining and gathering space, a sitting area with a comfortable couch and TV, a reading or game area, and a standalone bathroom with a walk-in shower.
- On the third level, there is Bedroom 3 with a King-size bed and a beautiful view from the private balcony, Bedroom 4 with a Queen-size bed and a reading chair, and a large designer bathroom with a classy shower and double vanity that is attached to Bedroom 3 with hallway access. The den features a couch with a pull-out bed and an office desk.
- Indoor gathering spaces include a ground level family game room and mud area, and a huge open space on the second level that is perfect for being together and still having elbow room. The outdoor gathering spaces include a second level glass balcony with lake views and a ground level patio.
- House amenities include Wi-Fi, streaming TV with Netflix capabilities, linen and towels, a wagon, gas grill, and short walk to the beach over a sandy trail. The location is centrally located to everything that makes Michigan City the most popular vacation spot along the lakefront.
- Parking is available for three vehicles only, and guests must be 25 years old and present for the duration of the stay to reserve. Smoking or vaping indoors or on balconies, prom parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and fireworks are strictly prohibited.

Frequently Asked Questions
As a landlord, what will this cost me?
This will cost you nothing and give you your time back. We rent your property from you at the price you've already advertised online - a monthly price - for the duration of a lease agreement of your choice - usually 1-3 years. Standard rental procedures on your end.
Where do you find your tenants?
We partner with corporate headhunters, small tech firms, and social media advertising brands who have traveling employees in constant need of short term rentals in Los Angeles and Chicago. We use these relationships as well as third party advertising websites to find and vet all tenants.
Will my property be vacant or occupied most days?
The beautiful part is, your property will often go unoccupied for weeks at a time, but you will still be getting paid. This means less wear and tear, fewer toilet clogs, landlord calls etc.
What about group gatherings and parties?
Absolutely not. Our tenants are career oriented people, traveling for work, or peaceful weekend getaways. They are usually directed to us by small businesses who are expensing the stay for their employee. There are absolutely no parties, or group gatherings at our properties. We closely manage and monitor the property both digitally (Ring Doorbells, Nest, Sense etc), and in person - with a Sunroom team member available for house calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
